A very big thank you to our friends, family and customers who have believed in us and our work this far. You have helped me get this far by word of mouth, helping out at markets and festivals, with wedding prep, and taking a chance on a small florist for your wedding. We really appreciate everyone who has supported our small business so far and are looking forward to continuing to provide you with unique garden-inspired floral arrangements from our new business location.
An extra special thanks to my Shaw neighbors who, despite City House Country Mouse not having a brick and mortar shop for the past two years, have been relentless in supporting us. I’m so glad to be able to keep my business less than 1.5 miles from my home and so close to my Shaw neighborhood. Having a home-based business doesn’t always feel “real” and I have to say, never discredit someone for working out of their home. There are plenty of business people who work out of their home and I need to remind everyone that it is a completely professional and sensible way for people to conduct business.
Industry friends: you might recognize this storefront, as wedding planner Altar’d Events was here before me and gave me the inside scoop on the space at 2105 Marconi becoming available. Thanks, Allissa for your help!
