Herb Container Planting Workshop, May 9

April 21, 2017

Have you ever killed an herb plant? Or give it loving care for months and find it never grows? This class will focus on instructions and tips for planting herbs and keeping them healthy for indoors or out. Herbs have countless uses – rosemary, thyme and sage are very common herbs for grilling meats, but can easily be used for a variety of things including veggies, soups and interesting drinks. Make your own herb planter in this class, as a thoughtful gift for someone, or for yourself!

In this workshop, we’ll discuss:

  • Herbs for pollinators
  • Beneficial vegetable companions
  • Keeping herbs indoors
  • Light and water requirements

We’ll provide everything you need to make a terra cotta planter with rosemary, thyme and sage.
